Arlington's West Mountain Inn Review
Arlington's West Mountain Inn sits on the side of a mountain overlooking Arlington Vermont. The property includes 150 acres which makes it ideal for outdoor lovers. It is also near the Battenkill River which provides ample opportunities for fly fishing and canoeing. Free wireless Internet access was available during your visit. other amenities include coffee and a variety of tea along with cookies available almost any time of the day for the guests. There's a playroom for the children, chess tables by the windows, a library well stocked with books of local and general interest and even llamas on the property. During the winter months you are greeted by a roaring fire in the fireplace. The West Mountain Inn has a full dining room which serves breakfast and dinner. The meals and services are excellent and are a great alternative to driving a half hour or more to Manchester. The rooms are comfortably decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our personal preference is a room in the main building. There are cottages available that are located closer to the entrance. For breakfast and dinner you would need to use our walk or drive up to the main building. If you prefer to try a variety of restaurants, you can drive to Manchester which is about a half hour away. You can also find a variety of outlet stores in Manchester including the Orvis flagship store. Stratton ski resort is about a 40 minute drive depending on the weather.
