Attractions in Southern Vermont

Southern Vermont is an ideal year round travel destination. There are plenty of outdoor activities for the entire family. Keep in mind that many of the attractions and activities are seasonal in nature.

• Covered Bridges - There are dozens of these beautiful old bridges throughout Southern Vermont

• Golf - Golf courses in Southern Vermont
• Museums and Historical Sites - Southern Vermont has a rich history including the homestead of our 30th President, Calvin Coolidge as well as being the site of several Revolutionary War Battles.
• Parks - Vermont has an sizable state park system. Many of the parks are located adjacent to, or contain substantial lakes.
• Sighseeing Tours - Air and Boat tours
• Skiing and Snowboarding - Some of the great East Coast Ski Resorts are located in Southern Vermont.
• Snowmobiling - Vermont has an extensive system of snowmobile trails
• Theater - The Theater is not one of the main attractions but there are a number of playhouses.
• Wineries - There are a few wineries in the area.

Vermont is also know for it's maple syrup and cheeses. You'll find stores everywhere offering these specialties.
