Getting there

Automobile

Most people who visit Vermont's will do so in their private automobiles.  Interstate 91 runs along the eastern side of southern Vermont and Route 7 runs more toward the western side.  Keep in mind when looking at a map that many of the smaller roads are closed during the winter months. 

Air

There aren't any major airports in southern Vermont.  If you wish to fly in by commercial air you'll have to fly to a nearby city such as Albany, New York and drive in from their . There are several smaller airports that will handle private aircraft and charters In southern Vermont.   

Train and bus

Amtrak's Vermonter  provides rail service and runs along the eastern side of southern Vermont with stops in Brattleboro and Bellows Falls. The Ethan Allen Express provides train service to Fair Haven and Rutland.  Amtrak also offers thruway bus service to Pico Resort, Killington and Okemo.

Greyhound offer service to the following cities in Vermont :

• Bellows Falls
• Brattleboro
• Burlington
• Montpelier
• Rutland
• White River Junction

Vermont Transit Lines provides Bus service throughout Vermont.
